NY BROOKHAVEN — The Board of Zoning Appeals approved more than 20 variances on Wednesday, including a significant modification allowing cannabis retail sales within 500 feet of residential zones in Medford. Muhammad Junaid received relief from the 500-foot residential buffer requirement, modifying an earlier June approval. The board unanimously approved Southport 2013 LLC for a 23.22 percent floor area ratio at a commercial center in Shirley, and Ideal Realty Holding LLC to store up to 50,000 gallons of propane in Bellport, subject to site plan approval.
