NY BROOKHAVEN — Board of Zoning Appeals approves 24 variances, holds subdivisions. At its May 24 meeting, the board granted variances for residential improvements including swimming pools, decks, sheds and additions across multiple Brookhaven locations in largely unanimous actions. Commercial approvals included a parking variance for a proposed AutoZone at Route 112 and Coram, permitting 92 spaces against 228 required, and a companion 15-foot pylon sign variance.
Four subdivision applications were held for public hearings on June 7, while the board denied a Long Island Partnership Housing Development Fund request to overturn a 1996 covenant barring further subdivision in East Patchogue.
