NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Accessory Apartment Review Board approves six permits, denies one as oversized. The board unanimously approved applications for accessory apartments in Port Jefferson Station, Centereach, Middle Island, Ridge, and Farmingville, ranging from 491 to 769 square feet, representing 20 to 37 percent of homes' total living space. The board denied the application at 24 Detmer Road in East Setauket, finding the proposed 1,329-square-foot apartment exceeded size limits.
A seventh application at 1 Central Avenue in Miller Place was unanimously postponed.
