NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Zoning Board approves 28 variances in high-volume docket. Board of Zoning Appeals unanimously granted relief to CB Suffolk LLC for a Mount Sinai multi-tenant office building, allowing front-yard parking and excessive setbacks despite Hamlet Center Overlay District restrictions. Bellport Ontario Warehouse LLC received approval for a 96-square-foot wall sign, exceeding the 36-square-foot limit.
Medford Property Holding LLC gained permission to extend a non-conforming industrial use. Residential applications included approval for a 16-foot detached garage in Bellport and lot divisions in Shirley with associated setback and area variances. Deputy Chairman Rick Cunha and Chairman Howard Bergson presided over unanimous recorded votes; Member Ronald Lindsey was absent.
