NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Board of Zoning Appeals approves 35 variances in routine session. Chairman Paul DeChance and the full board, including Deputy Chair Howard Bergson, James Wisdom, Rick Cunha, and Charles Lazarou, granted variances for residential additions, swimming pools, and structural improvements with the vast majority approved unanimously. Two warehouse variance approvals for HAE Air Inc. in Medford and Riley Material Inc. in Yaphank included mandatory dry-storage-only conditions with covenants to be filed in the Suffolk County Clerk's office within 180 days.
The board renewed a two-year special permit for Jarel LLC for horse-farm housing in East Setauket and held applications from Wavecrest Construction, Ronkonkoma Avenue Corp., and others to February and March hearings.
