Brookhaven adopts comprehensive Mastic Beach revitalization plan

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Board unanimously adopts Mastic Beach revitalization framework. The Town Board approved the Mastic Beach Neighborhood Road Revitalization Area Urban Renewal Plan, Land Use Plan, Regulating Plan and Redevelopment Standards, and Local Law Number 8, establishing a new Mastic Beach Downtown zoning district. Town Supervisor Daniel J.
Panico and the board authorized execution of a grant agreement with the New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation for green infrastructure improvements in the revitalization area. The board also unanimously approved a mini-storage warehouse zoning change for BD Industrial Park on Railroad Avenue in Center Moriches and adopted proposed amendments to the Uniform Traffic Code.
