NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board approves 7-Eleven fueling station and convenience store relocation to East Patchogue location. The board voted unanimously to grant a change of zone and special permits for the 1.91-acre site at the corner of Sunrise Highway and Hospital Road, enabling demolition of an abandoned, deteriorated diner building and clearing adjacent land for Long Island Community Hospital expansion into medical office and administrative facilities. The new facility will feature eight fueling stations with 16 pumps and a 2,995-square-foot convenience store.

Construction is anticipated within 12 months pending Planning Board and Zoning Board of Appeals approvals. The board also voted unanimously on 27 additional resolutions including acceptance of the 2019 audit and COVID-19 related capital budget deferrals totaling 9.6 million dollars.
