Brookhaven Board Approves Comprehensive Land Use Plan Contract

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board approves comprehensive land use plan consulting contract in wide-ranging session. The board unanimously awarded a contract with MJ Engineering, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Land Surveying, P.C. to prepare a townwide comprehensive land use plan, appointed Felix Wienclaw as sole assessor for a term through September 30, 2031, and passed 42 resolutions. Infrastructure approvals included bids for Dyke Road improvements in East Setauket and a culvert outfall mitigation project in Stony Brook.
Public hearings were conducted on three local law amendments covering stormwater management, zoning regulations, and highways.
