NY BROOKHAVEN — The Brookhaven Accessory Apartment Review Board approved nine permits and denied one at its August meeting. The board considered 11 applications for units ranging from 300 to 901 square feet, representing between 15 and 37 percent of main houses' living space. Members Gail Lynch-Bailey, Mark Geraci, and Irene Dabramo unanimously approved nine applications, several conditioned on submission of recorded deeds or owner occupancy documentation.
The board denied the application for a lower level apartment at 15 Bellewood Avenue in Centereach, which exceeded the board's space ratio standards, and held open a second story unit at 5 Willow Road in Rocky Point pending architectural revisions.
