NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board unanimously approved a zoning change and site plan for a mini-storage warehouse facility in Coram, reclassifying the Middle Country Road property from J Business 2 to J Business 5. Under Town Supervisor Daniel J. Panico's leadership, the full seven-member board voted 7 to 0 on the change, along with environmental determinations and site plan approvals.
The board also unanimously approved eight planning consensus applications across multiple hamlets and authorized three property acquisitions for environmental preservation using the Joseph Macchia Environmental Preservation Capital Reserve Fund. The board adjourned hearings on a 150-foot cellular tower in Medford to November 19, 2026, and on a land division in Ronkonkoma to an uncertain date.
