NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Board approves three zoning changes and environmental land acquisitions. The Town Board unanimously granted applications from 359 Portion Road, Incorporated for a zone change and special permit for a major restaurant with drive-through in Lake Ronkonkoma; Bauer Avenue Medical Park for a zone change from A Residence 2 to J Business 4 in Manorville; and Miller Place 334, LLC to amend restrictive covenants in Miller Place. The board also authorized acquisitions of two open-space properties using the Joseph Macchia Environmental Preservation Capital Reserve Fund on Blue Point Road in Mastic Beach and Old Middle Country Road in Middle Island, and determined three properties unsafe, setting public hearings for February 16, 2023.
