Brookhaven Town Board approves $6.4M in capital bonds

Town Board · Meeting of June 25, 2026

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board greenlights $3.4M solar project, $3M park bonds. Supervisor Daniel J. Panico and the full board voted unanimously to approve the two bond resolutions as part of a 34-resolution agenda that included environmental land acquisitions, public hearing scheduling, and authorization of community events.

The solar installation at the Brookhaven Aquatic Center and parks improvements represent the board's largest capital commitments, alongside acquisitions in Mastic Beach and Manorville funded through the Joseph Macchia Environmental Preservation Capital Reserve Fund and a drainage property settlement in Selden.
