Brookhaven Town Board approves fueling station zoning in Coram

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board approves fueling station zoning change in Coram. The Town Board unanimously approved a zone change for NCA Properties, LLC from J Business 4 to J Business 5, allowing a motor vehicle fueling station with convenience store on Port Jefferson-Patchogue Road, despite objections from residents Hiten Shah and Kiram Shah during the public hearing. In separate action, the board unanimously approved bond resolutions increasing funding for Mill Road culvert replacement by $1,510,649, from $3,589,351 to $5,100,000, and the Motts Pond remediation project by $350,000, from $250,000 to $600,000.
The board also authorized $228,521.10 in bonds for wildlife tunnel installation at Cedar Beach.
