Brookhaven Town Board Approves Verizon Cable Franchise, Zoning Amendment

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board approved cable franchise agreement with Verizon and zoning code amendment in April meeting. All actions were unanimous across 32 resolutions. The board authorized land acquisition at Forest Road East in Mastic Beach from Classic Builders Group LLC and an acquisition agreement with Mastic Devco LLC for neighborhood redevelopment.
Professional service contracts exceeding $35,000 were approved for engineering and design services related to landfill cell closure work through Stearns, Conrad and Schmidt Engineers and L.K. McLean Associates. The board also determined a Coram property unsafe and scheduled public hearings on proposed amendments to all-terrain vehicle and zoning codes.
