NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven zoning board approves 30 residential variances in routine July meeting. The Board of Zoning Appeals voted unanimously on most applications Wednesday, granting relief for new dwellings, lot sizes, setbacks, and accessory structures across the town with Board Member Charles Lazarou absent. Approved variances included a 755-square-foot accessory apartment exceeding permitted habitable-space limits for Vincent Percoco in Selden; multiple variances for a 50-foot-lot dwelling by Door Dutchman Inc in Selden; and rear-yard and side-yard relief for new residences in Patchogue, Miller Place, and East Setauket.
The board extended two prior grants for one year and postponed a Carvana LLC motor vehicle dealership use-variance request to July 22 for further review.
