NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Planning Board denies medical office change of use, approves four applications at virtual meeting. The board voted to deny MD-365's proposed conversion from retail furniture showroom to medical office on South Sunrise Highway in Patchogue, citing concerns the tenant location would separate the site's retail intent and risk transforming the property into strip retail. In separate approvals, the board endorsed The Woodlands at Port Jefferson Station for increased clearing from 70 to 80 percent; Allied Physicians Group at Rocky Point for medical office use with facade modifications; Dunkin Donuts at Ridge to legalize a freezer box; and Brixmor SPE 4 LP at Port Jefferson Station for a pad site office and bank with drive-through.

Three applications were continued to future meetings.
