Town Board Adopts Sewer District Expansion; Continues Mastic Beach Hearing

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board approves Sewer District No. 2 expansion and continues Mastic Beach hearing. Supervisor Daniel J. Panico and four council members unanimously adopted the resolution to increase and improve Sewer District No. 2 facilities.
In a separate action, the board held open a public hearing on the proposed acquisition of real property in Mastic Beach for the Neighborhood Road Redevelopment Area Project, with numerous residents raising concerns about property valuations and acquisition terms offered by Beechwood Homes. The hearing will resume July 8, 2026.
