Board of Zoning Appeals · Meeting of February 12, 2025

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven zoning board approves 32 variances; denies accessory apartment request. The Board of Zoning Appeals granted unanimous approval to 32 property owners seeking variances for residential structures across the town, including permissions for pools, sheds, decks, garage additions, and second-story expansions. The board unanimously denied Donna Earley's request for a two-bedroom accessory apartment on a Mount Sinai property limited to one bedroom.

Three applications—involving Donna Cumella's parcel division, Mark Bond's clearing limits relief, and Vincent Cipolla's multi-part request—were held or adjourned for future hearings.
