Brookhaven Board approves zoning amendment affecting Board of Appeals authority

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board unanimously approves zoning amendment and planning applications. The board approved amendments to Chapter 85, Sections 85-565 and 85-569 of the Zoning Code affecting Board of Appeals special permit authority, moving the measure by unanimous vote. Supervisor Daniel J.
Panico presided as the board adopted 35 resolutions total. The board authorized a solar photovoltaic development agreement with i.on renewables, LLC at the Brookhaven Landfill and approved two capital professional service requisitions exceeding $35,000 each for Calabro Airport and Sewer District 2 HVAC modifications. The Planning Board approved site plans for Canine Companions in Medford and Evergreen Farm Estates subdivision in East Moriches.
