NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Zoning Appeals board approves 31 variances spanning commercial and residential uses. Gala Foods Supermarket secured twin sign height variances (one at 20 feet, 158 square feet; second at 49 square feet), while Aldi received approval for a 27-foot-10-inch sign at 108 square feet. WF Industrial II and III received permits for rooftop solar and pickle ball parking (295 stalls amended from 784 required).

Three parcel divisions into 2 or 4 plots earned SEQRA negative declarations. Mark Bond's clearing relief was granted as amended to 60 percent maximum with reforestation required. Gregory McGrath and Raymond and Kimberly Schipf's pool variance was denied; 11 other applications postponed to March hearings.
