Board declares three Mastic Beach properties unsafe structures

NY BROOKHAVEN — Town Board declares three Mastic Beach properties unsafe. The board unanimously determined that premises at 51 Grove Road, 148 Elder Drive, and 161 Huguenot Drive are unsafe structures under Town Code Chapter 73, based on engineer reports from Cashin, Spinelli & Ferretti, LLC, with public hearings scheduled for May 1, 2025. All seven voting members approved each determination.
The board also unanimously adopted a zoning amendment establishing new duration standards for special permits, variances, and land divisions.
