Board revokes and approves cannabis retail permits
Board of Zoning Appeals · Meeting of June 25, 2025
NY BROOKHAVEN — The Board of Zoning Appeals revoked and approved cannabis retail permits. The board revoked special permits previously issued to SRM 23 LLC in Dix Hills that had allowed cannabis retail sales, with votes passing 7-0 and 6-0 respectively. On the same day, the board unanimously approved a three-year special permit for Top Shelf Consulting Group LLC in Bellport for cannabis retail, conditioned on retail-only use and prohibition of indoor cannabis consumption; New York State licensure is required before any building permit issues.
The board also denied requests from Cline Living Trust for special permit to harbor eight goats and variance for a 12-foot fence in Mount Sinai. Numerous other variance and parcel division applications were approved.
