NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board approves commercial developments and environmental grants. The board unanimously authorized site plans for Taco Bell with drive-through in Patchogue, Chick-fil-A and McDonald's drive-throughs in Medford, and a storage facility, along with a 20-year underwater land license to Sound Express LLC for Port Jefferson. Town Supervisor Daniel J.
Panico was authorized to accept a USDA Natural Resources Conservation Services grant for restoring 17 parcels of saltmarsh habitat in southern Mastic Beach and to submit a Green Resiliency Grant application for storm resilience infrastructure in the Neighborhood Road Revitalization Area. The board approved funding authorizations for Barton Avenue Culvert Bridge and Sheep Pasture Road Bridge projects and determined two properties unsafe under Chapter 73 of the Town Code, scheduling hearings for September 11.
