Town Board Backs State Bill to Authorize Cell Tower in Rocky Point

NY BROOKHAVEN — Brookhaven Town Board backs state legislation authorizing parkland alienation for cell tower. The Town Board unanimously approved a home rule message of support to the New York State Legislature on behalf of S.7873A/A.8526A, which would authorize the town to alienate parkland for a cellular tower installation in Rocky Point. The resolution passed with six members present, with Town Supervisor Daniel J.
Panico presiding and Councilmembers Jonathan Kornreich, Jane Bonner, Neil Manzella, Neil J. Foley, and Karen Dunne Kesnig voting yes; Councilman Michael A. Loguercio Jr. was absent.
